Those of us engaged in the hobby of rebirthing spend a great deal of time, money, and energy purchasing the appropriate rebirthing products to painstakingly reborn our dolls. We have to use a lot of instruments and chemical substances (paints, glues, etc.) and in the event of a rebirth, what you don't know CAN damage you, or more particularly, your realistic baby dolls!

Here is my checklist of 5 methods to damage your silicone reborn babies, in hopes it will prevent those "oh no!" moments, which many unlucky reborners so far have faced:

#1 Try gluing eyelashes to your doll head with clear nail polish.

Initially, it's actually not a great adhesive. Second, if you blunder to remove the eyelashes, you'll need to follow step two on my list:

#2 Use nail polish remover in your doll.

Common nail polish remover includes the solvent acetone which could damage plastics and vinyl. In fact, our dolls are made from plastic and vinyl. Maybe now it's much clearer why you shouldn't use nail polish to connect eyelashes?

So you won't be able to use good old clear nail polish to connect those lashes. What else can be a great adhesive? Hm… well, if you want to damage your doll, you can do this:

#3 Use huge glue in your doll.

Are you ready for the scary fact? Terrific glue will melt most doll eyes. It's not something you want to do. But maybe you think you should use it elsewhere in your doll? Do not do that! Until you want to damage your doll, after all. Superglue can damage plastics and acrylics.

#4 Use sizzle glue in your child doll.

Once again you see degraded, damaged, broken plastic and vinyl.

Does your husband or teenage son want to build model vehicles? Why not use this glue? It's glue for plastic, after all. Nope! The plastic of burning rods and fighter jets is tough. The vinyl and plastic child doll is delicate. So if you want to damage your doll:

#5 Use mannequin glue in your reborn child doll.

So here you go, 5 methods will allow you to damage your reborn baby doll!
